Quick / basic handwriting support (Excalidraw integration)

Feature Request

Since some of us love visual note taking, it would be awesome to have a quick way to scribble. Sometimes a diagram or a handwritten thought is just faster than typing.

Adding a lightweight Excalidraw canvas would be the perfect solution. It would allow us to make quick sketches that save directly into our Obsidian vault, keeping everything compatible with the Excalidraw plugin. This would make the app a lot more versatile for visual thinkers!

I think it would be a little bit out of scope for “quick draft”.

I prefer quick draft to stay snappy and quick and simple as it is right now. If I want a visual note, Obsidian is one click away, and a second click away for a new excalidraw file. 😉
